Appointment Evaluation

Diagnostic imaging is often an important tool in helping to determine the age of an injury, and whether or not a recently reported injury might be pre-existing as a result of old trauma or longstanding degenerative change. These factors may greatly assist an evaluator in determining appropriate apportionment.

MDIA’s unique ElectRIS Advantage in the area of image archiving greatly assists in the retrieval of a patient’s previous examinations for comparison with current studies so that an accurate assessment of the injuries for apportionment purposes may be made. MDIA’s onsite Board-certified, University Fellowship-trained and highly experienced radiologists are often able to assist through second opinions and comparison with old examinations in determining a fair apportionment.

“The consistency of the report language greatly reduces our opponent’s ability to argue for greater disability, which has an effect on the overall cost of the claim.”

“Another great feature I have used is MDIA’s ability to compare films and assist with dating of an injury, all done with minimal effort on my part.”
